How Elite Pro Home Cleaning is Adapting to COVID-19

As a company, we have been researching and learning about the best ways for us to reopen the business in our new environment. Our top priority is the health and safety of our staff, customers and their families. We are using the CDC website and their guidelines as guidance for cleaning households.

TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS PLEASE NOTE: PPE compliance is a new requirement for all our cleaners. We appreciate your patience and understanding as our teams get used to wearing their equipment. We are also reminding our employees that wearing PPE is for their protection as well. We’ve created an internal document of instructions of how and when they are to wear all PPE. Each employee is required to sign and acknowledge that they will follow all PPE rules. We are reminding them and reinforcing the use of the PPE on a daily basis.

On that note, please understand that wearing PPE can be uncomfortable and takes getting used to. It is especially challenging to breathe while doing strenuous work such as cleaning. We’ve asked our employees to take frequent breaks outside if they become hot or uncomfortable while wearing their PPE and working. Our goal is to ensure the safety of our customers and employees during these unprecedented times.

CLEANING

Per the CDC website, both cleaning and disinfecting help with lowering the risk of spreading the infection. These guidelines are focused on household settings and are meant for the general public.
  • Cleaning refers to the removal of germs, dirt, and impurities from surfaces. It does not kill germs, but by removing them, it lowers their numbers and the risk of spreading infection.
  • Disinfecting refers to using chemicals, for example, EPA-registered disinfectants, to kill germs on surfaces. This process does not necessarily clean dirty surfaces or remove germs, but by killing germs on a surface after cleaning, it can further lower the risk of spreading infection.
While in your home we will clean all surfaces using our Waxie cleaning products and an EPA registered disinfect on high touch areas such as light switches, door knobs and toilets. Please note- The EPA registered disinfectants on the market are intended for use only on hard non-porous surfaces. Since many households have porous surfaces such as non sealed granite, marble, travertine, stone, and unfinished wood etc. we want to prevent unnecessary damages to surfaces. We will therefore use disinfectant on hard non-porous high touch areas.

The other equipment that we use at other customer’s homes are the vacuum cleaners, woolie and feather duster.

Vacuum cleaners – We have two types of vacuums. A big vacuum, and a mini suction vacuum cleaner with a bare floor and edger attachment. We are requiring the teams to wipe down with disinfectant the vacuums and attachments at each house prior to entering.

Woolie – This is a duster that goes on a telescoping pole to dust crown molding and areas that are hard to reach.
