5 tips to maximize a professional cleaners time in your home

When hiring a professional cleaner to clean your home, having your house ready for the cleaners is a great way to maximize your cleaning experience. The more area they can easily reach, the better your clean will be. Some quick tips to maximize your cleaners are:
  • Pick up your home– Clear up toys, shoes, clothes off the floor. Organize your paperwork on your tables or desk to expose as much surface area as possible. The more areas your cleaners can reach, the more areas will get cleaned.
  • Move furniture away from the walls and windows– Move furniture away from the walls, so that the cleaners can vacuum the floor behind them. Give them enough room to dust the baseboards and wipe the window sills.
  • Clear off your counter tops– Lots of knick knacks and bottles on the kitchen and bathroom counters make it more difficult to clean. Put small items like make up or jewelry into plastic baskets for easy storage. If you leave them on the counters, the cleaners can pick them up and wipe underneath them. Or you can easily store the baskets in a draw on the days when the cleaners come.
  • Put away any breakable or irreplaceable items– Cleaners are human, so accidents happen. If you have your grandmother’s glass vase or your favorite porcelain collectible that you would be devastated if it broke, put it away on the day of your cleaning.
  • Empty your kitchen sink– If you leave a sink full of dishes, and your cleaning service doesn’t do dishes, it makes it more difficult for the cleaners to clean the sink. Leaving an empty sink allows the cleaners to focus on cleaning your sink.
For me, the best thing about having a cleaning company clean my home is coming home after a long day at work and finding my home sparkling clean and tidy. These easy tips will make coming home to a clean house, even better, because you will get the best possible clean for your money.
